The Lyari gangster along with accused Sheikh Sher Muhammad was charged with ordering the latter to kill the paramilitary personnel in March within the jurisdiction of the Pak Colony police station.
Uzair Baloch has been facing dozens of criminal cases pertaining to murder, kidnapping, extortion and terrorism pending before various sessions and antiterrorism courts in Karachi.
Since January , he has been acquitted in around 20 cases by the relevant courts.
On Tuesday, the ATC-XVI judge, who conducted the trial in the judicial complex inside the central prison, pronounced his verdict reserved after recording evidence and final arguments from both sides.

The judge noted that the prosecution had failed to prove the allegations against Uzair Baloch and Sher Muhammad.

Additional District and Sessions’ Judge (South) Faraz Ahmed Chandio recently pronounced his verdict.
Police had nominated Habib Jan Baloch, Wasiullah Lakho, Umar Kachhi and Sharfuddin as suspects in the case and showed M. Kashif and Faisal Mehmood as absconders.
According to the prosecution, the four suspects were arrested following an encounter in the Kalri area on April 5, One TT pistol, four rounds and 1, grams of cannabis was seized from the arrested suspects, it said.
In the second case, the prosecution stated that Uzair Baloch, Abdul Ghaffar, alias Mama, and other suspects opened fire on a police mobile van in the Kalakot area causing damage to it.
They managed to flee after the attack, it said.

Defence lawyers Tayab Bhandani and Hyder Jatoi stated that their client was implicated in this case after the arrest of three accused — Hafeez alias Dada, Babar Punjabi, and Zubair.
