Career
After college, Eisner began his career in the entertainment industry as an assistant at ABC in New York. He quickly rose through the ranks and eventually became the head of ABC's prime-time programming in In , Eisner was hired as the CEO of The Walt Disney Company, where he would remain for the next two decades. During his tenure, Eisner was credited with transforming Disney into a global entertainment powerhouse. He oversaw the acquisition of ABC, ESPN, and Pixar, as well as the launch of the Disney Channel and the Disney Cruise Line. He also oversaw the development of several successful films, including The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Toy Story.
Later Life
In , Eisner stepped down as CEO of Disney and was replaced by Bob Iger. After leaving Disney, Eisner founded the Tornante Company, an investment firm that focuses on media and entertainment.
