That face. It is possible that this man’s face is the most photographed face in the modern world. His face shines down from billboards and reflects from ads in magazines and newspapers worldwide. It could be easily argued that the sun never sets on his image.
Ands this man lives here in Fremont County, Wyoming.
He is a quiet, laid back guy. A horse trainer and horse trader. And he’s one of us. Just a local Fremont County guy who thinks this is the greatest place to live in the world.

Winfield is succeeded by his wife Lennie, six children, and a ton of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all took to social media to celebrate the true cowboys life, posting photos and sharing memories.
Winfields obituary described him by saying, He loved his wife of 66 years and made her and his family his highest priority. He also cherished his friends and all were welcome at their home. After having a stroke, his loving wife became his primary caregiver, along with help from family and friends.

This ideal image ended up taking the form of a rough cowboy. He wore a ten-gallon Stetson hat, a bandanna around his neck, a bag of Bull Durhamtobacco with its yellow string dangling from his pocket, and blue denim, the fabric of the profession. He said things like, “If it weren’t for a good horse, a woman would be the sweetest thing in the world.” He rolled his own smokes.
