Authorial Context: Mahbod Seraji and the History of Iran
Mahbod Seraji moved to the US from Iran when he was He studied at the University of Iowa and graduated with an MA in Film and Broadcasting and a PhD in Instructional Design and Technology. Back when he was a year-old in Iran, Seraji fell in love with stories while sitting on his rooftop and reading a Farsi version of Jack London’s White Fang. He personally stated that he wanted the reader to loose themselves with the characters in the alleys at night in Tehran. He wanted his characters to become friends, so the reader understands the problems of the regime, understands the trouble these good people have to go through living in this world. Aimed mainly at the reader from the United States, as Seraji moved there from Iran, the novel has been translate
