Agnes Cecile is a young portrait artist from Rome, Cecile uses a range of mediums such as Watercolours, Ink, Enamel acrylic paint, Acrylics and charcoal in order to create her vivid pieces. Looking at Cecile&#;s work, she has a range of emotions within each piece which range from happy, creative and bright to dark, gloomy pieces &#; I have collected a few different pieces by Agnes in order to gain a larger understanding of her technique and work ethic, whilst choosing the work that I feel is more suited to my specific topic and interest.
These three images are some examples of Cecile&#;s more upbeat vibrant pieces. I really like these as they take an abstract approach into the intention and create a bright and emotional portrait. With the last image, Cecile has used water colours in order to create the individual sections and sections within her face. The first image with the two people, I think use a range of watercolours and acrylic pains as the textures are alot different to one another, creating a conrast within the image &#; I think that this works really well as it links different emotions, which are tied into one piece of work.

Silvia Pelissero was born in Rome, Italy, in She started to draw when she was a child.
When she published her earliest watercolor paintings online, she signed them as “agnes-cecile” for the first time. After attending a fine arts high school, she kept on following her vocation, experimenting with different painting techniques and discovering how to express herself through her images.
She soon became popular on social networks, which allowed her to reach a large public globally.
After several solo exhibitions in Rome she joined events, held workshops and took collaborations in different worldwide locations in US, Canada and Europe.
She took the chance to improve her workshop quality since she joined winsor&newton as an ambassador.
In she released her first art book, a collection of ten years of work.

My favorite artist working today is Silvia Pelissero, better known as Agnes-Cecile. The year-old Italian is a primarily self-taught artist who lives and works in Rome. Employing a variety of painting mediums, she has created dozens of expressive and surreal portraits. The majority of her popular pieces are watercolor works, although she often dabbles in oil, acrylic, ink, and varnish. Each work is a carefully controlled explosion of color and line that gives her all her faces distinct personalities and emotions. Agnes-Cecile utilizes the dreamlike quality and distortion of surrealism, abstracted colors, and even the effect of simultaneous view-points reminiscent of cubism in order to create a genre that is all her own. Her most recent works tend to have more defined outlines, show more of the figure, and utilize more black; however, she has not lost the surreal quality that makes her work so striking.
I believe that Agnes-Cecile is an important entity in the art world and deserves to be acknowledged as such. Her work displays a remarkable understanding of anatomy, technique, and raw emotion that she managed to develop completely on her own. This in
