Takanori Aiba (相羽高徳) was born in in Yokohama, Japan. Built a first career as a freelance maze illustrator since His maze works were serialized in &#;POPYE&#;, Japanese fashion magazine for 10 years. Founded his own company,&#;Graphics and Designing Inc.&#;, in Expand a range of his career to a concept maker and art director for architectural spaces. Total production of &#;Shin Yokohama Chinese Noodle Museum&#;, &#;Muse Du Petit Prince De Saint Exupery A Hakone&#;, &#;NINJA AKASAKA&#; were one of his major , , He put his mind to create three dimensional art works which combines his knowledge and experience of both maze illustrator and architect. On September, , He had a solo exhibition, &#;Adventures of the Eyes&#; at Kakiden Gallery, Tokyo Japan with his works.

*1&#;Works are created through Aiba's extraordinary fantastic and sometimes even chimerical imaginations. However, they do not look like pipe dreams. In fact people believe that they are real buildings and spaces because Aiba depicts not only the outline but also all of the elaborate details in each works.

When I was a child, I was hooked on playing with model trains.
It was pure bliss for me to spend hours watching trains running on the railway tracks in my room. However, my interest gradually and strangely moved to something else - bonsai.
How it started; from idea to the Bonsai treehouse concept
People may think that an elementary school student who loves Bonsai has a refined taste, but I played with Bonsai in a simple, innocent way. I just put soil and moss on the lid of a beer bottle and inserted a tree branch. Then, I put it on my palm and enjoyed looking at it from a variety of different angles. Though I might have been a child playing Bonsai. I really enjoyed the journey. While looking at my Bonsai. I felt as if I were standing on the moss of the Bonsai branch. Miniature me was looking up at the big Bonsai tree. I saw that vision clearly. Of course, it was my imagination, but the clear vision I saw was very realistic.

As a follow-up from yesterday&#;s Picture of the Day, the Sifter was compelled to do a full feature on Takanori Aiba&#;s incredible miniature sculptures. The level of detail and intricacy in his work is truly mind-blowing. Each sculpture is like a miniature world, bursting with life and stories. I would love to see some close-ups if anybody has seen these in-person.
